More concerned with theft than customer service. They literally follow all their customers around, and if they get busy they just post somebody on every aisle to watch everyone. Not very knowledgeable, hardware lacking. Very uncomfortable shopping experience!
I've always headed over to this location for quick hardware needs since it's so close to where I grew up and currently live. Everyone is friendly and the prices are reasonable. I do think that they need more registers open during busy times, especially on Sunday afternoon. Other than that I would recommend this Ace for your hardware related needs.
I've gone here several times since moving to the area. They have an extensive selection. The boyfriend usually ends up finding something he didn't even know he needed (like how I am at Target). The staff is helpful too. I usually have to track someone down for help, but once I find someone, they're great. Plenty of parking and right by King Soopers, so you can knock out more than one errand at once.
This is a nice place to go for hardware related needs that don't include lumber or bulk construction materials like drywall. They do have a good selection of tools, fasteners, paint, etc.
I went in with a 1/4 gallon of matte white Behr Ceiling paint to color match, which they did. I did touch up all over the house before realizing the paint was glossy. I went back to return and they told me I should have gone to Home Depot to color match Behr, and that they didn’t know why I was given a wall paint instead of a ceiling paint. If they had just told me to go to Home Depot in the first place I would have. Selling me the wrong kind of paint when I asked to match a ceiling paint is their fault but they wouldn’t give me a refund.
I've always had good service at this neighborhood hardware store. The store is large and has a good selection. I especially enjoy the outdoor grilling section because of the amazing selection of sauces, rubs, injections, etc.
